It all started with a joke.
So there is this totally tight band.. And they are scottish. I know right! So I am planning on going to their concert in Feb. Feb 4th to be exact. Since they are not that known I don't know when I will get the chance. Hey its a good excuse. :D So I have been going to the gym to lose the weight I want so that I will have the confidence to hopefully have the chance to meet the band (!) and get a picture. Which leads to teasing Ley.
Why? Because I can! She really thought I would take a 10 year old to a concert. So I was teasing her that I would just leave with the lead singer to Scotland after the concert. She is fine with it as long as I stop to get her first. Yeah. It's been that kind of week.
So now I have to deal with the fall out of her continuing to say she wants to go to Scotland when she is about to go to Georgia for Christmas Eve, well the week before and Christmas Eve.
Loey has been stumping her teacher and I. She has not been finishing her work in school. Not even a letter to Santa. For some reason she just wont finish it. She doesn't even want to tell her teacher why. It is frustrating us to the extremes. We have had her talk to counselors -nothing. Homework is no problem. She isn't acting out, no other problems, it only started about 2 weeks ago too. I can't figure out what might have triggered this.
Why is parenting so difficult?
